One of the most well-known myths relating to the goddess Sri Chandika Pada Yogini’s ancestry is that Chandika was made by the goddess Kaushiki to slay horrible monsters. Chandi and Chamunda, who destroyed the devil’s Chanda and Munda, respectively, are two of Chandika Devi’s well-known incarnations. The goddess Sri Chamundi Pada Yogin destroyed the Chanda monsters, who also destroyed the source of his hostile powers.
